Hi! I would like to introduce myself; my name is Lisa Edwards I am the Office Manager for Timbercrest Builders. I have been in the construction industry for over 35 years (WOW that’s a long time! LOL). What I love about the construction industry is seeing someone’s dream home on paper come to life!
Back to the topic of this blog…. My New Year’s resolution is to spend more time with my family. With that said, what better place to spend time with the family than the Pocono Mountains and Northeast Pennsylvania? The area has so much to offer for families of all ages!
There are so many fun and exciting winter activities in the area! If mother nature cooperates and we get plenty of snow, you could head over to Skytop to enjoy skiing, snowtubing or sleigh riding. If your more of an advanced skier Ski Big Bear, Camelback or Montage Mountain, to name a few, that are just a short drive away!
If you prefer indoor activities try an Escape Room, if you’re brave enough! Visit one of the indoor waterparks that are fun for the whole family. Perfect your golf swing at one of the virtual golf simulators, The Wake Zone or the Main Fairway are close by.
Do not miss taking a ride on the Stourbridge Train Excursion! The train’s 1950’s rail cars will bring you back in time as you travel along the Lackawaxen River enjoying the scenery.
After a fun filled day it’s time to have a relaxing dinner at one of our many fabulous eateries. Are you craving seafood? Just up the road from the Timbercrest Builders office, is a favorite of ours, Overboards located on PA 507 in Greentown. If you’re looking for a more casual atmosphere my favorite is the Pourhouse located on PA390 in Mountainhome. We have some amazing breweries and wineries you can sit, relax and enjoy a beverage and a bite to eat. Many with these have live entertainment on the weekends.
