When we decided to renovate our beloved family home, we interviewed several builders and visited with neighbors for ideas and advice. By the time we met with the folks from Timbercrest Builders, we started to doubt a renovation would work. When, in our initial meeting at the house, Paul told us—with breathtaking speed and stunning clarity— why new construction would be a better option for us, we had to reconsider everything we planned, but eventually agreed. It was a long road through demolition and building the house, but there was not a step of the way that we were not 100% pleased with our choice, and confident in the abilities of all who worked on the project. The endless decisions to be made, both large and small, were made infinitely easier with the expertise of the team led by Paul and Annie. Later, when Courtney joined the firm, we were able to rely on her for the nuts and bolts of the wrap-up. Together, they truly helped us build our dream house, and it is spectacular.
We are thrilled to entertain guests in this beautiful space, and just as often, happy to enjoy it ourselves. The craftsmanship is obvious in even the smallest details. The hardwood floors are luxuriously smooth and richly stained; and the exposed beams and woodwork throughout the house are so elegant that, though we haven’t yet hung a single picture, you might not even notice. We are especially grateful for the careful consideration of all the vendors Timbercrest chose: the kitchen and bathrooms custom-designed by Stofanak, the floors from BTM Flooring (with a special thank you to Brian and Nick), and Fred’s amazing stonework. We set up a camera on-site to peek in on things from NJ, so we witnessed the care and craft that went into the stone selection for every pillar and surface. Being out of state for the build was an extra stress, but we were confident that Paul and Annie would have our best interests in mind if we could not be there for a decision. There are so many opportunities for stress and regret in an undertaking as large as building a house, but we are happy to say that the stress was minimal and the regrets were few if any, despite the roadblocks we experienced with supply-chain issues and other by-products of a world-wide pandemic. We cannot recommend Timbercrest Builders and all of their suppliers enough.
