We cannot thank Timbercrest Builders enough for building our beautiful dream home. We had purchased a sloping lakefront property, and initially contracted with a different architect who just did not seem to understand our vision. We met with Paul, Annie and Courtney, shared our ideas with them, and once we walked the property with Paul, we knew we found the right team to bring our vision to life. Paul’s logistical expertise was invaluable–he thoroughly explained all our options for every infrastructure decision we needed to make, and most certainly saved us from making some costly errors along the way. We are completely confident in the structural soundness of the build itself. Annie, our project designer, miraculously maintained her sense of humor in the face of our indecisiveness, as she patiently guided us through the maze of decisions we needed to make. Austin, Courtney and Lisa provided invaluable support throughout the process, and all the subcontractors Timbercrest selected for our project were extremely dedicated and professional. Special shout-out to Bryan, our floor and tile contractor and Nick the installer for expertly installing our beautiful hickory floors, Steve was heroic with some the electrical fixtures he installed for us, Fred and John were incredible masons–the quarry stone fireplace they created is simply stunning–and Brian the painter was so thoughtful of us and diligent in his work. All in all, the team at Timbercrest Builders were incredible to work with throughout this process–we are so thrilled with the home they created for us, and we couldn’t recommend them more highly. Thank you again for everything! Hillary Michelson and Bob Snyder
After purchasing a piece of property in an area of PA that we loved, we had the daunting task of finding the style of home we wanted to build and the builder who would make our dream come to fruition. We visited and interviewed quite a few builders before choosing Timbercrest. There was no comparison; the 3 words that come to mind regarding them is “Simply the Best”.
We visited Timbercrest built homes and met with satisfied homeowners who sang their praises. We found that there is a style for every taste and budget. Since these are customized homes, any personalized structural design changes to the original blueprint are reviewed and planned out by a team of professionals. To us, integrity, trust and attention to our needs were very important and Paul Szostak, the owner, did not disappoint! He has extensive knowledge about the latest building materials and techniques and is up to date on local building codes. We had a challenging lot to build on but Paul and his team were able to problem solve and deliver a home that we love!
To help guide us through the entire project, our design coordinator, Courtney, was invaluable. She has a talent for navigating you through the difficult process of choosing every aspect of your home to achieve your vision of the completed project. She is kind, patient, upbeat and very knowledgeable about home products, trends and concepts. Courtney even met us at a few manufacture’s showrooms to help us select materials for our kitchen, baths and floors. If we had any concerns, she was just a text away! Lisa, the office manager, and Austin, the site manager, are also great and available to answer questions in a timely manner.
Additionally, the tradespeople that work for Timbercrest are top notch! The quality of their craftsmanship and attention to detail were wonderful. Since we visited the home site frequently, we found that everyone was friendly, respectful and willing to provide us with answers to any questions during the building process. Finally, if there is a concern about your new home’s final “punch list” after closing, Paul and his team were there to address it. Having lived in our new home for one month now, we couldn’t be happier! We highly recommend Timbercrest Builders in Greentown PA – you won’t be disappointed!

When we decided to renovate our beloved family home, we interviewed several builders and visited with neighbors for ideas and advice. By the time we met with the folks from Timbercrest Builders, we started to doubt a renovation would work. When, in our initial meeting at the house, Paul told us—with breathtaking speed and stunning clarity— why new construction would be a better option for us, we had to reconsider everything we planned, but eventually agreed. It was a long road through demolition and building the house, but there was not a step of the way that we were not 100% pleased with our choice, and confident in the abilities of all who worked on the project. The endless decisions to be made, both large and small, were made infinitely easier with the expertise of the team led by Paul and Annie. Later, when Courtney joined the firm, we were able to rely on her for the nuts and bolts of the wrap-up. Together, they truly helped us build our dream house, and it is spectacular.
We are thrilled to entertain guests in this beautiful space, and just as often, happy to enjoy it ourselves. The craftsmanship is obvious in even the smallest details. The hardwood floors are luxuriously smooth and richly stained; and the exposed beams and woodwork throughout the house are so elegant that, though we haven’t yet hung a single picture, you might not even notice. We are especially grateful for the careful consideration of all the vendors Timbercrest chose: the kitchen and bathrooms custom-designed by Stofanak, the floors from BTM Flooring (with a special thank you to Brian and Nick), and Fred’s amazing stonework. We set up a camera on-site to peek in on things from NJ, so we witnessed the care and craft that went into the stone selection for every pillar and surface. Being out of state for the build was an extra stress, but we were confident that Paul and Annie would have our best interests in mind if we could not be there for a decision. There are so many opportunities for stress and regret in an undertaking as large as building a house, but we are happy to say that the stress was minimal and the regrets were few if any, despite the roadblocks we experienced with supply-chain issues and other by-products of a world-wide pandemic. We cannot recommend Timbercrest Builders and all of their suppliers enough.
Love at first site !! The moment I saw a Timbercrest home I was in love. Standing in front of the house was only the beginning of a wonderful relationship. It was a t that moment I knew Timbercrest was my builder. Building a new home is a daunting and time consuming process. Paul and his team of experts are waiting to help at every turn. Paul’s experience and knowledge can stand toe to toe with any builder. There isn’t a builder in the country that couldn’t learn a few things from Paul. His foresight was impeccable and at times spooky. It was as if he had a crystal ball and could see the future at the same time knowing what I would like. I was fortunate to have two designers. Annie was retiring and was transitioning with Courtney. Annie with over 35 years experience was handing over the reins to a new designer. I was honored to be the last home for one and the first home for another. The design process was seamless. It is a true art to keep the home owner on track and not become overwhelmed by all the choices. Courtney has a bright future and was shown the path by carved out over years of dedication by Annie. Timbercrest is a team of professionals with old school morals and staunch work ethics. In addition every trade that performed work on the house was equally as dedicated. (and I met with every one of them LOL) Qualities that are extremely difficult to find in this fast paced world.
All of this does not happen by accident. It happens thru commitment, hard work and pure love of what you do. Should you decide to hire Timbercrest I have only one piece of advice. Watch out for the arrow 🙂 The moment you lay eyes on a Timbercrest home and meet the team you will be in love.
After 6 months of researching builders in the Pocono region, we decided to call Timbercrest in June of 2020. From the first time we met with Paul & Annie, we knew we wanted them to build our lake house. They were extremely knowledgeable and diligently listened to our long list of wishes.
Timbercrest began demolition of the existing home on our lot in Fall of 2020. Our lot was narrow and extremely difficult to maneuver equipment around. We could not install a traditional septic system because of the size of the lot. Because of the slope of the lot, we needed a taller foundation in order to provide an area to park our cars. None of these obstacles were ever an issue because Paul always had a solution. To say Paul is an expert in his field is an understatement!
We were very particular with what we wanted in this home. Annie was with us every step of the way to guide us through every aspect of the design, making decisions, choosing materials & colors and providing her wealth of knowledge and experience. No matter what idea we came up with, she figured out how to make it happen.
Greg managed the crews on site, kept the schedule on track and communicated with us regularly on the status. After we moved in, there were a few minor things that needed to be finished. Greg communicated with us almost daily and had everything completed in a timely manner.
I cannot express what a wonderful experience we had with Timbercrest. This was our second time building a home and I cannot even begin to explain the difference between Timbercrest and the builder we used in the past. I would highly recommend Timbercrest to anyone interested in building or renovating a home. They are professional, provide excellent communication, build an extremely high quality home and they’re genuinely good people. Our house is absolutely beautiful and we couldn’t be happier!

They built our beautiful home, Paul was very professional and helpful. Annie his designer was very knowledgeable and very pleasant, she helped with the design of all the rooms and she was there when needed. Michele and Greg were also very helpful with any questions I encountered. Received great reviews from family and neighbors. Very proud of my home.
They say three is the charm, in our case it was. After meeting with two other builders they were not seeing our dream.
Then we came across Timbercrest Builders. Paul with expertise and knowledge was able to answer all of our questions. This was the first time for us to build a new home. With Paul by our side we knew we would make the right decisions.
Annie what can we say with her experience and enthusiasm she had us hooked. Picking out tile i nearly had a melt down but Annie got me on track on making the right decisions. 🙂
During Covid we had a few hiccups but the house was finished on schedule.
We would like to thank Paul, Annie and their awesome Team for making this dream come true!!
Our home is perfect. We can’t wait to show it off to our family and friends!
Thanks again,
Ed and Pam Barring
Paul and Annie, thank you for building our dream home. You made what could have been a stressful and difficult process a very pleasant one. Even during the covid pandemic you managed to keep our project on track and on budget. Your ideas, guidance and expertise turned our vision into a reality. For all those looking to build, I can without a doubt recommend Timbercrest Builders. From the initial survey, to the home placement, to modifications in design, to the work crews and all the countless activities I did not list, it was covered. Paul and Annie remained patient, professional and always responsive to our questions, concerns and needs. They walked us through what seemed like a overwhelming process by having small frequent meetings. These meetings allowed for an understanding and personal touch to develop, that I believe is what makes Timbercrest what they are, amazing. I can use the normal words like professional, timely, quality and responsive for the review but again they are more. If you are looking for a builder who treats you with respect, cares for you as you would a family member and makes your dreams a reality, then Timbercrest is the answer. I love my new home and what Timbercrest has created, so much that they are currently building a home for my parents. Again, Annie and Paul, thank you for the experience, the product and the future….Tom and Melissa S
Timbercrest Builders built our dream home for us on Lake Wallenpaupack. From the time we were deciding on builders to the final walk through, Paul (owner), Annie(design consultant), and staff made our experience a very pleasurable one.
Paul and Annie worked tirelessly in the design process, using our ideas and their design/building experience to create a home that fulfilled our dreams. During the build, Paul and Annie were meticulous about every detail. The craftsmen took great pride in their work, knowing that Paul only constructs the best, with no corners cut. They would be in constant communication about the progress. As challenges arose, Covid 19 for one, they always presented solutions. Time was always taken to be sure the fine details of the house were well thought out and executed.
We highly recommend Timbercrest Builders for their professionalism, integrity and solid construct. But most of all, the friendship we have developed with them in the process.

Timbercrest Builders was great to work with to build our new house on the lake. We felt comfortable with Paul and Annie from our first meeting and that continued throughout the process with them and the entire team. Building a home far from where you live can be stressful and incredibly overwhelming, but Paul and Annie were on top of questions we had and gave detailed progress notes along the way.
The quality of the team’s work was top notch, they were always available to answer questions, they walked us through each step of the design and build, and ensured we were happy with all the choices that we made. They are honest people with high standards of excellence, and we couldn’t be happier with our new “Cabin” on the lake. We highly recommend Timbercrest Builders for any project big or small and are happy to be references for them. We look forward to working with them in the future.
We had Timbercrest builders do a major renovation on our lake home last year. We couldn’t be more pleased. Our home came out more beautiful than we could ever have dreamed of. We ran into a lot of unforeseen issue with an old home but everything was handled beautifully. They are always responsive to your calls and concerns . We would never hesitate to recommend them to family or friends . The quality of there work speaks for itself.
My husband and I built our first home over 30 years ago; we did the general contracting ourselves, knew how stressful that could be and wanted to avoid that this time around. When we were finally ready to build our second home in the Lake Wallenpaupack area, after deciding on the style home we wanted, we spent a lot of time researching and meeting with many talented builders. While I’m sure all of them could have built us a lovely, high quality home, we decided to go with Paul, Annie, Lucy and the entire Timbercrest Builders Team for a few main reasons – their expert knowledge of construction and the local regulations, the warm and welcoming environment of their office, the high quality craftsmanship and unique design elements we saw in their homes, and, most importantly, we had occasion to randomly meet several of their clients at a home building show; the feedback was so positive and all had retained close, personal relationships with the Timbercrest Team – this cinched it for us…to come through a home building experience and count your builder as a friend of yours was the exact experience we wanted, and got, with Paul, Annie, Lucy and their entire team! We would highly recommend them to everyone!

Building a new home can be a very stressful experience, unless you have a company like Timbercrest Builders. After hearing many horror stories from people, we have been amazed at how positive and stress-free our home building experience has been with Paul Szoztak – President of Timbercrest – and his Design Assistant, Annie Grill. This “dynamic duo” dovetail beautifully in both their many years of construction experience and in the comprehensive skill set they offer to their clients.
Paul has an amazing mind for all aspects of construction detail, efficiency, and building codes, while Annie enhances the team with equally strong administrative gifts and design ability. They understand that even with blueprints, building someone’s home is an “organic” process so they are always willing to make suggestions as the process unfolds, yet also gracious if those suggestions are not taken. They are responsive to Emails, calls, &/or texts, and always thorough in their communication. They are also very patient in answering questions or adjusting to the unexpected changes made by either Mother Nature or by clients. In fact, the very positive attitude they both bring to the job makes working with them a real joy. For Paul and Annie, you are not just a client but rather part of their team, working together to make your dream house a reality.
On a personal note, Paul is a man of great integrity and honesty; he is a man you can trust to give you the best work for the best price. Annie also has these same virtues, plus she is not only discerning in design but also a delight to work with- supportive and encouraging. Under their continuous and careful attention to details, our new lake home will not only be beautiful inside and out, but its construction both safe and sustainable. Timbercrest Builders offers you exceptional quality at an honest price; we highly recommend them.

The first thing we did was contact five of the top recommended home contractors in the area (as determined by internet research, BBB inquiry’s and of course, local word of mouth). While most were knowledgeable about their profession, Paul was the best at conveying his expertise to us. He was also very helpful and astute in his recommendations and took the time to explain or elaborate things we did not understand or that needed to be clarified. He was also very prompt in his responses back to us either by email or phone, which is something most of his competitors were lacking. We also liked the fact that he is a local businessman and resident with ties to the community. And finally, he was more than willing to do the same thing with us that he is doing with you: give past customers as references and showed us some of the other homes he had built in the area.
Paul has a very good eye for what works in a given area. He was able to visualize our conceptions and translate that in to an actual architectural drawing that we were then able to “tweak” as necessary. This was invaluable. Paul was very hands-on throughout the entire build, which was refreshing to see. Likewise, his men were all very good at what they do. Throughout the entire build, I would faithfully go there every weekend to inspect and I don’t honestly recall finding any problems or things that were wrong. Certainly, there were some issues but Paul addressed these things as they came up, typically without having to be told to do it. Again, that was refreshing.
As far as I’m concerned, he really didn’t have any weak areas that I was aware of. He only used good, reliable subs for the things he didn’t do himself. All the materials he is used were of the best quality, fit and finish. I felt like he was in control of everything on the project at all times and when asked a question, always had an answer at the ready.
We did in fact make quite a few changes/alterations as the construction progressed. Again, Paul was always easy to reach and quick to respond with a price or an answer to a question. He also was diligent in providing clear, concise written proposals for everything he did, which made it easy to keep track of the change orders we accepted or declined.
The building process (once started) went smooth and as planned. There were some initial delays due to bureaucratic township issues, but this was out of Paul’s control. I would say that , for the most part, he adhered to the time frame that he said he would and there was never a lull in the construction process.
We are extremely pleased that we chose Paul and Timbercrest to build our home. We would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. In fact, we were so pleased with him we gave him to my brother who also used Paul when they had a summer modular home installed for them. They too were quite pleased with the outcome. We give Timbercrest a 5 out of 5 star rating.
One thing you should bear in mind, he was not the cheapest. His price was in the middle, maybe more to the high end of the spectrum. However, as I am construction contractor in NYC myself I can attest to the fact that when it comes to new construction, you most definitely get what you pay for. Beware the cheap prices, you only get one chance to build it right and in that light, I think his prices are fair and reasonable. You will not be disappointed with the finished product when they get done. Our home is beautiful and one of a kind and we couldn’t be happier.
Yours truly,
Gregg J. Luchese
It is with great pleasure that I write this referral of Paul Szostak, Annie Grill and the team at Timbercrest Builders.
We engaged Paul and Annie in September 2016 for a bathroom remodel. Their mission? Design an esthetically beautiful space that meets our needs, budget AND is completed within a quoted 6-week time frame? THEY DELIVERED!
From Annie’s patience in guiding us through choosing the design elements, to Paul’s meticulous installation work every detail was taken care of. Tradespeople were all highly qualified professionals who obviously take pride in their work. Both Paul and Annie had a knack for noticing things that, to their eyes, were “not quite right” and had them taken care of quickly. When we did point out something or had a question it was taken very seriously and rectified to our complete satisfaction. And, to top it off, completing the project included a cleaning crew who left not a speck of dust in the newly refurbished bathroom and adjacent bedroom!
We are thrilled with our new master bath and I would not hesitate to have Timbercrest take on other projects for us. I’m very happy to recommend them.
Sincerely,
Maryjane L. Baer
In May 2017, Timbercrest Builders began working on our dream home in Hawley, Pa. It was a pleasure working with Paul, his office team as well as his many different tradesmen over the next several months. Paul’s expertise in all fields of the construction business never failed to amaze us. When we had questions, they were answered in a timely manner. Construction was well organized, and our home was built in the timeframe we needed since during construction we were living in a rented apt. (Prior to building we sold our home in Virginia for the move to PA). Each phase of the construction was explained to us and carried out by Timbercrest’s expert craftsmen. When it came time to pick our colors, fixtures, flooring etc we worked with Annie and Lucy in the office. They both made this phase fun, interesting and seamless. We highly recommend Paul and his team for any type of construction, whether it be a new home, addition a deck or any type of building. You will not be sorry, and you will have made a few new friends along the way.
Sincerely,
Mr. & Mrs. Toth
As husband and I searched for our forever home, fate led us to your door. From that initial meeting with Annie, we immediately knew that we stumbled onto something very, very special. In subsequent meetings, we realized that not only did you have expert knowledge, but you are also demonstrated a genuine sense of integrity and thoughtfulness. Thank you for taking a stressful undertaking and turning it into a fun and enjoyable journey. We always looked forward to meeting with Lucy and Annie, putting our heads together and witnessing Annie’s creative style come to life!! Of course we were usually hungry after-words. Right, Annie?? It was amazing when presenting Paul with concerns he respectfully listened, asked clarifying questions and then came up with solutions. Paul, you are a true problem solver!! But through it all – Husband and I both agree that the best outcome was building a relationship. We began as clients and ended up as friends.
Thank you, thank you, thank you so very much for making our dream home come true and we look forward to countless wonderful times together.
